Our Requiem altar candles are handcrafted using traditional candle-making methods and have a distinctive warm, natural beeswax colour. Originally developed for funeral and Requiem services, their deeper ivory-gold appearance also makes them particularly suited to churches seeking a more traditional style of altar candle, including Orthodox Catholic communities.

Made with natural unbleached beeswax, Requiem candles retain the characteristic colour of natural beeswax rather than the lighter ivory appearance of our other handcrafted ranges. They also incorporate recycled church candle wax as part of our commitment to reducing waste and increasing the use of sustainable waxes.
